How we handle your information
We keep this short and clear. When you get in touch, we collect only what we need to respond, understand the enquiry, and manage any working relationship that follows. This notice explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, known as POPIA.
Who we are
Renew Consulting is a business systems and implementation consultancy operated as a sole proprietorship in South Africa.
For the purposes of POPIA, Renew Consulting is the responsible party for the personal information you share with us. Privacy requests are handled through admin@renewconsulting.org.
What we collect when you contact us
Our website does not currently have a contact form. When you choose to email us, we receive the details you include, usually your name, email address, company details, and the content of your message.
We do not use advertising pixels, visitor profiling, or tracking cookies.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as server logs, device information, browser information, IP address, and access times.
Website fonts and third-party resources
To display its typography, this website loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google. When your browser requests these fonts, Google may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the page being viewed. Renew Consulting does not use this for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
The website does not set cookies through its own code and does not use browser storage such as local storage or session storage.
Information received during client work
If you become a client, Renew Consulting may receive business contact details, project documents, reports, spreadsheets, process notes, website content, operational information, system information, and other material needed to understand and deliver the work.
We use this information only for the relevant enquiry, project, engagement, administration, legal obligation, or legitimate business purpose.
Why we collect it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, understand possible work, prepare proposals, manage projects, communicate with clients, deliver agreed services, keep records, and protect our legal rights.
Under POPIA, this processing may rest on consent, legitimate interest, steps leading to a possible agreement, performance of an agreement, or compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Giving us your information is voluntary
You are not obliged to contact us or share information with us. If you choose not to provide the information needed for an enquiry or project, we may not be able to respond properly or provide the requested support.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as needed to respond and manage any working relationship that follows.
Client and project information may be kept for as long as needed to deliver the work, maintain records, resolve queries, meet legal obligations, and protect legitimate business interests.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or keep it only in a limited archived form where there is a valid reason to do so.
How and where it is stored
Information may be stored in our business email account, website hosting environment, cloud storage, project systems, administration tools, and other business systems used to manage enquiries or client work.
Access is limited to Renew Consulting and service providers who process information for legitimate business purposes or on our behalf.
Some service providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is handled with appropriate privacy and security safeguards.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may share information with service providers who help us operate the website, email, storage, administration, project delivery, or technical support. We only share what is reasonably needed for the relevant purpose.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce agreements, to protect legal rights, or to respond to lawful requests from regulators or authorities.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
No website, email system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information by email unless it is necessary for the enquiry or engagement.
